About Me

Hello, my name is James Donnell! I am a 22-year old Computer Scientist from New Jersey in the United States. I am a graduate from Rowan University where I studied Computer Science with a specialization in Cyber Security. I dabble in almost everything I come across in regards to technology be it Software Development, various hardware/IT fields or anything I can get my hands on. Apart from technology I enjoy the outdoors, traveling and exploring new places.

I always find myself wishing for more adventure. Whether it be a simple walk in the park or hiking a mountain or traveling to a new country. In the past, I have had the privilege to travel to many places and countries to see some truly amazing things. From Philadelphia to Honolulu from Rome to Venice to Prague, I have never encountered a situation that would prevent me from doing it again. I am grateful to have a woman in my life (named Ana) who shares the same desire to travel. Rowan University

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, 2017
Specialization in Cyber Security
Summa Cum Laude

I started my college career at Drexel University as a Computer Science major. At the time, Computer Science was part of Drexel's College of Engineering and as such I took freshman-level computer science and engineering classes during my first year. From engineering classes alone, sparked my interests in not only developing software but developing software in a useful way that could interact with physical components outside of the processor. After my first year, Drexel moved the Computer Science major into a new college to better fit all the computing and informatic majors. I completed my second year of college as a non-engineer making it through my first Co-Op at the Philadelphia Fire Department. Soon after I decided to transfer my enrollment to a cheaper state school that could still suit my needs as a Computer Science major. Rowan University was exactly what I was looking for. While Drexel was superb in showing me the world of engineering, the City of Philadelphia and a glimpse of the working world; Rowan made me feel even closer to home with Computer Science and my knowledge within the field.

Over the years I have worked anywhere from a janitor to a secretary to an IT technician and can honestly say that I have enjoyed every job I have had. While being a janitor or a secretary may not be the most career focused position, it has taught me a little something about good work ethic and having respect for all positions within a company. Below you can find the positions I have worked in related to the field of technology.
